The Axe Bat Swings Through Philly

The Axe Bat Swings Through Philly

No place in Major League Baseball has more history with the Axe Bat than Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

It was there the first regular-season home run occurred, the first run was driven in, and where, for the first time, the Axe Bat was used by multiple players in the same game.

Hugh Tompkins, Baden’s Director of Research & Development, was back in Philadelphia last night, where he spoke with CSN Philadelphia’s Gregg Murphy during the top of the fourth inning of the Phillies’ game against the Braves. The full interview is below and includes some telling commentary from former MLB player Matt Stairs, now a part of the Phillies’ broadcast team.

This is shaping up to be an exciting offseason for the Axe Bat in MLB. We’re looking forward to posting as much detail here as allowed, so stay tuned.

In the meantime, be sure to check out our full line of 2016 Axe Bats for baseball, fastpitch and slowpitch; all will be available starting Oct. 6.
